FRC For Inclusivity

FRC For Inclusivity

In STEM, which we have been running since our foundation in 2015 We have organized various projects to reduce inequalities, and now we continue our awareness projects by focusing on other areas. As ARC #6014 To the children in Anatolia you organized to instill a love and culture of engineering Following the Anatolian Maker Movement, we launched a campaign against gender inequality called Kızların da Yeri Var project. Now we are here with our project FRC for Inclusivity, where we will focus on inequalities arising from physical and mental disabilities.

FRC for Inclusivity is a platform for Turkish FRC teams to come together Robotics Competition and STEM is an awareness-raising project that will find solutions to create a more inclusive environment in the field of STEM. We will work to include physically and mentally disabled individuals in FRC and STEM, to create resources and opportunities tailored to the needs of this group, and ultimately to introduce this group to science and robotics / develop their existing talents and skills.

Sign Language Training

As part of our Accessible FRC project, we organized a Sign Language training for Robert College students to raise awareness about sign language and deaf culture. We organized the training together with the Association of Sign Language and Interpreters.

Türkan Sabancı FLL Project

With our specialized STEM curriculum, we tutored 30 disabled students from TOFD and are working with them to form the first FLL team of students with spinal cord paralysis. In 2022, we mentored Türkiye’s first visually impaired FLL team, Electric Heroes, founded at Türkan Sabancı School of the Visually Impaired with weekly meetings and preparations along with 7820. They received the Rising Star Award in the 2022 FLL tournament in Istanbul.

After the 2022 Pendik Off-Season, we launched our Sign Language project, where 20 people attended a sign language training offered by Türkiye İşaret Dili ve Tercümanları Derneği, TIDTED, an organization for people with impaired hearing.

FRC Turkiye Audio Library
